Summer Fun in South Carolina

Ray and I are spending about 5 weeks on the East Coast, between Charleston, SC and Crofton, MD. In SC, we staying at the Marriott's Residence Inn in one of their penthouse suites. As nice as it is, this is our view from our front porch. We get to look at Home Depot's backside of their garden shop. Lucky us! Needeless to say, we don't spend much time on our porch.

This is the main floor bedroom area complete with a bathroom and a desk/computer area. By the time our stay is done, we are sure that we will be glad to be headed home.

These are pictures of our living room area. Don't think we will need the "real wood" fireplace. The air conditioner runs nonstop in this "hot muggy" climate.

This is our kitchen/dining area. Yes, I brought projects with. I have been cutting all the squares for Jackson's new quilt. We will probably buy a simple sewing machine so I can continue to work. Ray's company will ship it home after our stay is finished.

These are the stairs leading to the 2nd level which houses another bedroom and bathroom. I guess if we get to the point we don't like each other, one of us will have to move upstairs.

Backyard is improving!

As spring arrived this year, we began to wonder if our lawn would snap out of it. We fertilized and saw little change. We talked to several neighbors seeking their suggestions. A hydro seed guy shared his ideas for weed killer and fertilizing. After threatening to plow it under and start again, we believe that we might be gaining. There has been a BIG improvement over the past several weeks and just maybe we have won the Battle!
